Martin Long

Martin has been a member of the ETT Executive since it was established in 1998, serving in the capacity of Grievance Officer and Chief Negotiator before becoming President in 2002. He has also been twice elected to the Executive of the provincial organization, Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario, and currently sits on the Board of Governors of the Ontario Teachers' Federation. He believes that the Union's prime concern must be safe, fair and equitable workplaces where teachers are allowed to practice their craft in an environment of dignity and respect.
