I have a proven track record of fervently and effectively advocating for teachers, equity and quality public education. I’ve been involved with local and provincial union activities for over 19 years.
Now in my role as vice president, I’ve proven my strong ability to collaborate and build consensus among Executive members. This ability to create unity and utilize the strengths of each executive officer on the team is paramount for a stronger united union.
There are variety of operational duties and day-to-day running of an office and managing staff that is required in this position. I’ve demonstrated the necessary organizational and problem-solving skills required. My experience adds continuity and stability to the organization.
I have a wide range of local and provincial leadership experiences that further strengthens my abilities. Experience as chief negotiator, grievance and benefits coordinator are other valued skills and benefits I bring to the role.
